Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the KC Solar Solutions website and the supply and installation of solar products in Uganda. By submitting a request or accepting a quotation you agree to them.

1Requests and quotations

  • Prices shown on the website and in the Solar Calculator are estimates in Ugandan Shillings (UGX). They become binding only when stated in a quotation we send you.
  • A quotation is valid for the period printed on it (normally 14 days). After that we may re-quote to reflect stock and exchange-rate changes.
  • Accepting a quotation online creates an order. No payment is taken through the website; our team will confirm the order, payment method and schedule with you.

2Payment

  • Payment is made by cash at our shop, bank transfer or mobile money to the accounts stated on your invoice. We never ask for payment to a personal number.
  • Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is required before equipment is reserved and the balance is due on completion of installation or on delivery for product-only orders.
  • Equipment remains the property of KC Solar Solutions until paid for in full.

3Delivery and installation

  • Delivery and installation dates are confirmed after a site assessment and depend on stock, weather and road access. We will tell you promptly if a date changes.
  • You must provide safe access to the site, a suitable roof or ground area and, where applicable, permission from the property owner.
  • Installation is carried out to Ugandan electrical standards. Work on an existing wiring fault discovered on site is quoted separately.

4Cancellation and returns

  • You may cancel an order before equipment is dispatched. Deposits are refunded less any costs already incurred for special-order items.
  • Unused products in original packaging may be returned within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or credit note. Batteries and custom-cut cables are not returnable once installed.

5Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the price paid for the products and services supplied. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of business, caused by power interruptions.
  • System performance depends on sunshine, appliance usage and maintenance. Backup hours stated on a quotation are estimates based on the loads you gave us.

6General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Disputes will first be addressed through our support team; failing that, through the courts of Uganda.
  • We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you accept a quotation applies to that order.
